I have been in the garden every day this week and my hands are really showing the signs of garden life. I needed a quick and easy gardeners DIY hand scrub recipe, so I whipped up this one and it’s amazing.
I love a good scrub, and after making this one, and seeing the results of my hands just after one use it’s a favourite!
I usually make body scrubs but this time I have made a special nourishing and exfoliating scrub especially for hands and feet.
The fragrance is just divine, I used dried mint from last seasons mint patch, zesty lime, and floral jasmine oils.
You could swap the almond oil for another oil, but I like almond because it’s slow to absorb and leaves my hand feeling nourished. Follow up the scrub with a nourishing hand oil for extra soft and nourished skin.
Gardner’s DIY Hand Scrub Recipe
1/2 cup sea salt (I used dead sea salt)
1/2 cup fine epsom salts
1/4 cup almond oil (plus a little more if needed)
1 heaped tbsp dried mint
15 drops lime essential oil
5 drops jasmine essential oil
It’s so simple to combine. You can’t get lost here, just mix everything together and store in a glass jar for using after a big day in the garden. Enjoy, and let me know how your recipe turns out and if you loved this recipe you may want to try my Exfoliating Body Scrub Recipe with Lime & Patchouli too.
