There are so many benefits to drinking apple cider vinegar, such as weight loss, detoxification, and shiny hair, teeth and nails! It is really worth sticking to more than just a few days of trying it.  

 

 

To make the most of the health benefits my whole family is starting The 30 Day Apple Cider Vinegar Challenge, including the hubby and kids!

You are welcome to start it along side us, or at anytime that suits you. 

It is also a great way to get a little more water into the kids, and boost their immunity too.

Before you cringe and say ‘I couldn’t drink vinegar……wait! It’s going to be worth it…AND, it IS diluted so it actually tastes way better than you might think’.

SO…Let’s start the challenge:

What you need:

The very best RAW apple cider vinegar only – Use ORGANIC, and make sure it has the ‘mother’ – The ‘mother’ is a collection of enzymes and good bacteria that settle during the fermentation process. 

I use Chantal Organics Raw Apple Cider Vinegar.  

You can get this from the supermarket or health food store.  Be careful of the brand you choose as some other brands contain additives that should be avoided, such as colours and flavours. 

How much to drink:

You can drink anything from 1 teaspoon to 3 tablespoons of ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) diluted in a large glass of water 3x a day.

For our 30 Day Apple Cider Vinegar Challenge we are doing the following:

For the kids – 1 tsp 2x a day in a large glass of water.

For the adults – 1 tbsp of ACV 2x a day.  

 

When To Drink It:

Drink the diluted ACV drink around 20 minutes before a main meal, this helps prepare your body for food.  Breakfast and dinner are ideal because most families are home together during those times.

TIPS:

Be a great role model for the kids, show them it actually tastes good! Tell them about the health benefits and congratulate them for drinking the whole glass.  

Add a little honey to the drink if it helps the kids drink it, or like us add a squeeze of lemon or 2 drops of lemon essential oil.
